The Zhiyun Crane Plus is very well built. It’s made of aluminum alloy and feels very solid in the hand. The axis locks are tight and there’s very little play in the joints.
The gimbal has a nice weight to it (2.1lbs) and is well balanced when empty. With a DSLR or mirrorless camera attached, it’s still quite balanced and easy to carry around.
The controls are straightforward and easy to learn. There are three operation modes (pan follow, locking, and full follow), each of which can be accessed with a simple button press. Pan follow mode is great for video, as it keeps the camera pointing in the same direction as you move the gimbal.
